Karuna Bhavan Church Trust formerly known as Karuna Bhavan Charitable trust was found in the year 2003. Our first establishment began its function on the roadside of majeed marikkar road at perumbavoor in a rented building with 10 children. In the year 2005, the home shifted into own building at pulluvazhy, availability of good school nearby home makes their schooling easy and better. As the home here at pulluvazhy moves forward, it faces the need of permanent building with all the required equipments.
The sincere ‘desire’ of Rev.Jacob Varghese was the foundation and capital of this institution. There after the each and every step we took forward was so miraculous ... Now Karuna Bhavan runs through its 11th year of service toward the poor and needy. Institution is registered with government of kerala, india under the registration number: ER IV 219/03.
Karuna Bhavan started with a children’s home in the year 2003. There after Karuna Bhavan moves forward with new activities and new branches. Now Karuna Bhavan has 3 branches, at Perumbavoor, Thiruvalla, Idukki with different activities like Children’s home, Prayer Cell, Counseling, Publication’s, Old-age home, Media, Legal Aid Cell, Music Team. Then the each and every step we took forward was so miraculous

“It was in the year 1998 God has given the vision to Rev. Jacob Vargese to take care of children from economically and socially backward families or children who were orphaned. This vision fuels Karuna Bhavan to equip and empower helpless and neesy children to make them feel wanted and helping them to realise the purpose of their lives. We believe that nurturing them in Christian love transgresses the love and care to their next generations which otherwise would have suffered the bitterness of an ill-struck life. Karuna Bhavan provides shelter, food, clothing, education and moral guidelines to those children who were orphaned or abandoned by parents or growing in circumstances that cannot provide them the basic necessities of a child.”
